What is microfiber leather?

Microfiber leather is a synthetic material, also known as "ultra-fine fiber reinforced PU leather." It is made of nylon ultra-fine fibers with a structure and performance similar to the bundle-like collagen fibers in natural leather. It is a non-woven fabric with a three-dimensional network structure and then filled with polyurethane with excellent performance and an open microporous structure, which is processed after processing.

Common uses of microfiber leather

Microfiber leather fabric has many advantages, such as comfort, aesthetics, warmth, breathability, good drape and fullness, and significant improvement in hydrophobicity and stain resistance. By utilizing its large specific surface area and soft characteristics, different tissue structures can be designed to absorb more sunlight and heat or dissipate body temperature more quickly, achieving a warm winter and cool summer effect.

Therefore, microfiber leather is widely used in various fields. For example, it can be used to manufacture men's and women's shoes, sports shoes, casual shoes, labor protection shoes, work shoes, fashion shoes, sofas, homes, massage chairs, leather goods, handbags, ticket holders, documents, stationery, ball games and other sports equipment, gloves, belts, clothing, and other processing and decoration. In addition, microfiber leather is also used in car interiors, such as seats made of microfiber in high-end cars. Microfiber leather sofas, microfiber leather couches, and microfiber leather shoes are some common products that are made from microfiber leather.

Overall, due to its excellent physical properties and wide applicability, microfiber leather has been widely used in many fields and has been welcomed by consumers.

How to maintain microfiber leather products?

Microfiber leather products such as bags and shoes require appropriate cleaning and maintenance due to their material characteristics in order to maintain good usability and appearance. Here are some cleaning methods for microfiber leather products: Microfiber leather products need to be soaked in water with a dry towel once a week, then wrung dry and lightly wiped several times. Generally, leather bags require regular maintenance oil and periodic cleaning. The method is to apply the oil to a clean cotton cloth and then wipe the surface evenly to avoid directly applying oil to the leather to avoid damaging the leather.

Special attention should be paid to avoiding chemical damage, and hard leather bags should avoid impact and scratches from sharp objects. If there are stains on the leather, wipe it with a clean, damp sponge dipped in warm detergent and let it dry naturally. If it is contaminated with oil, it can be wiped clean with a cloth, and the remaining should be naturally dissipated or cleaned with a cleaning agent. It cannot be wiped with water. The maintenance of hardware on leather should be wiped with a dry cloth after use. If there is slight oxidation, try gently rubbing the hardware with flour or toothpaste. For glossy leather maintenance, please use a small amount of leather maintenance oil to dip on soft fabric and then apply slight force to rub on the leather. For maintenance of matte leather, wipe it lightly with a cloth. If the dirt is severe, try gently wiping it off with a rubber-like material. The natural oil in the leather itself will gradually decrease over time or with excessive use, so even high-end leather items need regular maintenance.
