About products and suppliers

Light sensor usually refers to a device that can sensitively sense the light energy from ultraviolet light to infrared light, and convert the light energy into electrical signals. The light sensor is a kind of sensing device, mainly composed of photosensitive elements, mainly divided into environmental light sensor, infrared light sensor, sunlight sensor, ultraviolet light sensor four categories, mainly used in the field of changing the body's electronic application and intelligent lighting system. Modern electrical measurement technology is becoming more and more mature. It has been widely used in electrical and non-electrical measurement because of its advantages of high precision and convenient microcomputer connection to realize automatic real-time processing.

The Classifications of Light Sensors

First, according to the different measurement principles, the light sensor can be divided into photoelectric and optical two types. Photoelectric sensor is a kind of sensor that converts the light signal of the object into an electrical signal to measure the parameters of the object. Optical sensor refers to a sensor that detects the optical signal of the object through the optical element and measures the parameters of the object.

Second, the light sensor can also be classified according to its measurement range. It is divided into long-range light sensors and short-range light sensors. The long-range light sensor is suitable for the measurement of a large area, and its measurement range can reach several meters, while the short-range light sensor is suitable for the measurement of a small area, and its measurement range is generally not more than 10 centimeters.

Third, according to the packaging form of the optical sensor, the optical sensor can be divided into several types, such as plug-in type, face-mount type, patch type, and lead line. The plug-in type is suitable for the environment where the measurement point is fixed and the optical sensor needs to be removed frequently. The face-mounted type is suitable for when the measuring point is inconvenient to install the cable, and can be fixed on the measured object with tape. Plug-in and face-mounted optical sensors can generally be directly inserted into the bus module with the corresponding jack, and installation is convenient. The chip-type light sensor is generally used in applications with high assembly density and small device size.

Another way to classify light sensors is to classify them according to different application scenarios. At present, the application range of light sensors on the market is very wide, including industrial production, smart homes, digital products, medical equipment, and other fields. For example, in a digital camera, the role of the light sensor is to convert the intensity signal of the light into a digital signal, and finally get a photo. In medical devices, light sensors mainly detect physiological parameters such as skin temperature, blood oxygen saturation, and pulse.

The Function of Light Sensors

Light sensors can adjust their state according to the presence or intensity of light, such as changing the output or performing a specific action. The optical sensor can convert the received optical signal into an electrical signal for further processing and analysis. Light sensors are widely used in various fields, including automation control, environmental monitoring, and security monitoring. In the field of automatic control, light sensors can automatically adjust the lighting conditions to adapt to different environments and needs, thus saving energy.
