IN 300 is a new catalyst with first kind non-acid and non-alkaili, which can be applied for producing DOTP (Dioctyl Terephalate) and TOTM (Trioctyl Trimellitate) in esterification reaction. it has its own characteristics, which are detailed below:
1. IN-300 catalyst this material only will be added less than 0.3% in the esterification
reaction of DOTP, DINP, TOTM, DOA and DOS. Time for reaction is shorter than other
catalysts around 1-2 hours;
2. IN-300 catalyst is good at stability, not easy to get poisoned; even the water content
of TPA or Phthalic anhydride reaches to 8%, the effect of IN-300 Catalyst wont be
affected.
3. utilizing rate of TPA and Phthalic anhydride is almost 100 percent in the process of
esterification reaction, and excessive isooctanol can be recycled completely; the
oucome of reaction is light yellow liquid, its acid value is below 0.5 mg/g;
4. the catalyst also can catalyze its esterification reacion of fatty acid and aromatic
acid high efficiently.
5. None three wastes will be discharged during the reaction, and it can not erode
the facilities and equipments.

1 Appearance: colorless or light yellow liquid
2 Density (20g/ml): 0.942-0.950
3 PH Value: 7±0.5
4 Stability: over three years in hermetic room temperature
5 Odor: None speical smell
B. Chemical property
1 Its optimal catalytic activity between 200-210 degree, the dosage is around 0.15%.
2 It will be decomposed gradually over 260 degree
3 Can easily make this product thickness after absorbing of moisturehowever, it
won't affect its catalytic activity.
4 Can not affect its catalytic activity when there is 3% of water in the raw materials
5 Can be used if put this catalyst with higher alcohols in fixed proportion
C. Note items
1 Flammable, should be stored in cool and dry places, keeping away from fire.
2 Must cover immediately after fetch this catalyst so that can avoid absorption of
moisture
